Fred's Story: Becoming A Ghost

"I see dead people!"
"Well that's good, make sure you don't have a laser designator pointed at you. Then you'll be a ghost!" Well that is how the joke goes among the elite ghost squad.

I am finally a ghost! No I am not dead. I am part on an elite squad of soldiers trained to sneak on un-expecting enemy, and nuke the crap out of them! It took some time for me to get where I am.

The first time that I realized that I had phyonic abilities is when I was a marine, and I was in the 103rd squad out on patrol for Zerg when I started to hear voices around me. At first I thought I was going nuts due to the fighting the war and all, but then I realized that I was hearing the thoughts from my fellow marine squad.
1st off, war changes a person in ways... well, lets just say that the thoughts that I heard from my squad members could scare the fur off a rabbit.
I kept the fact that I had phyonic abilities to my self for a while. That and we haven't researched ghost technology at the time.
Then I joined the fire bat squad, and all they where thinking about was propane. They where thinking of better ways to use propane to BBQ new things.
I don't want to mention what the female medics where thinking when they gave physicals! Not to mention what the patients were thinking!
Where was I? oh yeah... sorry I lost my line of thought there for a second.
Anyway, then I joined the SVC core, and my phyonic abilities really began to manifest itself more. It was getting harder to close out the thoughts of others. I worked as an SVC pilot for a short while when we finally researched ghost technology.
That's when the officers noticed my abilities and, kindly invited me to join the ghost squad. (Kindly = forcibly obligated to join for duty and honor.)
That is how it all started when I became a ghost, in a nut shell.
